A free three-day professional development programme for teachers of mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. This programme includes three linked full-day events over the 2016/17 school year.
This exciting professional development opportunity aims to support mathematics teachers who are committed to nurturing confident, resourceful and enthusiastic learners. Led by our NRICH team, the programme will explore effective strategies to:
- work with free, high-quality, engaging resources to meet the key aims of the new curriculum
- support and develop your students' mathematical confidence, resilience, inquiry and reasoning
- implement Ofsted's recommendation to increase problem-solving across the curriculum.
The days will be highly interactive and will respond to the issues and concerns raised by teachers.
Programme structure and dates:
The Teacher Inspiration Programme will be delivered as three linked one-day events over the course of the 2016/17 school year, starting in January 2017.
The days will link together with participants encouraged to try out and share ideas between sessions. Participants should therefore be able to attend all three days of the programme. To support sharing of ideas within maths departments, schools are encouraged to send two teachers to all three days.
It may also be possible, if preferred, for attendance across the three days to be shared by colleagues within the same school, nominating different teachers to attend on the three days, so long as the department commits to share and implement ideas between the sessions.

Eligibility and how to book:
The programme is aimed at teachers of mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Thanks to generous funding from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, we can offer free places to mathematics teachers at maintained sector schools/colleges/academies in the UK.
