Title: The UK Governemnt's use of modelling during the Covid-19 pandemic
Abstract: Rob Harrison was enlisted to the Covid-19 response in March 2020 and was Director General for Analysis in the Cabinet Office's Covid Taskforce from October 2020 until February 2022. In this capacity, he was responsible for coordinating analysis and commissioning modelling and other scientific advice to support the Government's decision-making during the pandemic. He will share lessons from this experience, focusing especially on what changed between the low point of Autumn 2020 and the publication and execution of the Spring Roadmap during 2021.
