STEP 2 modules
The STEP 2 papers are based on A Level Mathematics and some AS Further Mathematics knowledge (such as complex numbers and matrices). We therefore recommend that you should prepare by working through the Foundation modules before tackling these. The STEP 2 modules are designed to be started near the beginning of Year 13.
Each of these STEP 2 modules consists of a selection of STEP questions, together with hints and solutions. The modules also contain "topic notes" which consists of useful formulae you should be aware of, together with some general hints and advice.
These modules can be tackled in whichever order you like, but we would suggest that you do the "STEP 2 Calculus" module first, followed by the "STEP 2 Curve Sketching" module, as many of the techniques in these modules will be useful for the rest of the modules.
If you have any questions about the assignments, or STEP in general, or feedback about our resources you can email us at step@maths.cam.ac.uk.
There is more information about the different module types here.
You can download the current STEP specifications from the OCR STEP website.
