At the bottom of page 3. I believe that $ \lamda $ should used for both the mean and variance - and the standard deviation is its square root. The notes show $ \lamda^2 $ being the variance.
(Am I doing something wrong? Wherre's my LaTeX lamda?)
I can't spell
$\lambda$
Lambda
I have problems with typing lambda as well. It is very annoying when your latex won't compile because of a typo!
Variance
Yep! Found it. (I was confused for a while as I was looking at page 2 where the variance is given as $\lambda$). Will sort it out now.
Sorted!
Thanks for pointing it out!
No worries
Haha yeah I would say I pride myself on my spelling and grammar but after spending 20 mins wondering what was wrong with MathJax and giving up in the end I start to doubt myself.
$\lambda \lambda \lambda \lambda \lambda \lambda \lambda \lambda $
