Hi all - there is now a STEP 3 matrices module available!

Since there are very few old STEP matrix questions we have used (very) old A-level and other questions which have some "STEP-like" qualities, but these questions tend to be shorter, longer, easier or considerably harder than STEP questions.

Is there anymore advice for preparing for an interview?

I know its been recommended to practice sketching functions but I was wondering if there were any further topics that it was recommended to revise. I'm also doing some MAT papers in college and some STEP 1 papers in my spare time. Are there any other exam papers that it would be useful looking at before interview? STEP 2? BMO? etc

Question 2(ii) I am not familiar with coordinates with three-values. Is it referring to an xyz-plane? I don't understand how to find the fourth vertex and how to find the base area. Could someone please explain?

Are we supposed to add what STEP papers we expect to be sitting onto our UCAS applications before we apply, or is it better to wait until receiving an offer dependent on STEP and then amending the application to include those?

There is now a STEP 2 Complex Number modules available here: https://maths.org/step/step-2-complex-numbers-new

2 of the questions have been taken from the old STEP III Complex number module, the relevant questions on the STEP 3 module will be replaced with new ones by the send of September.

The new STEP specifications (for 2019 exams onwards) are now available on the Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing website.

I started a new forum as I saw none in relation to this assignment.

There is a small error in the hints and answers. Under the warm-up part 3, a=3, n=9, and r=1/2 are identified correctly, but when the figures are used in the summation formula it shows that (1/2)^9 = 1/1024 as opposed to 1/512.

I'm outside of the UK and my high school maths syllabus overlaps only partially with topics covered in A level Maths and Further Maths. I would like recommendations about the best book series for studying basic content that I might be missing, prior to specifically preparing for STEP. Cambridge International and Edexcel both have book series for the A level courses. Which one is better or do you have other suggestions? Thanks.
