doubt in solving foundation modules

In foundation modules, assignment 2, preparation part,can anyone give me fully solved and explained answers as i cannot understand what is given in hints and solutions?

Would it be in fine if I have to get admission at cambridge in 2020 and i give STEP in 2020?

I am not quite sure what you mean. If you want to start maths at Cambridge in September/October 2020 then you would need to apply before October 15th 2019, you would then be interviewed in December 2019, offers come out in January 2020 and if you have an offer you would be sitting STEP in June 2020.
