Kinematics

In Nrich there is an article called dam busters.

How do we show that the bomb will strike the dam if and only if B<-g/2 D^2/V^2 +H

What progress have you made so far with this question? Are you able to find an expression for the height at which the bomb will be when it reaches the dam (or rather anywhere on the same vertical line - the slanted picture is a bit misleading - as the front wall of the dam) in terms of $g,\;H,\;D,$ and $V$?
