Old Format Papers

Hello,
I'm worried that soon I'll have run out of step past papers in the current format to do. Would you recommend doing the old format of questions or are they too different to be as helpful? Or are there any other banks of step style questions out there to tap into?
Thanks for your help.

My opinion is that definitely some of the old questions can be helpful, but bear in mind that the syllabus has changed, so some of the old questions are on topics that are not in the current syllabus.

Also note this advice:

Old questions are better practice than nothing, but not as good as the more recent ones. I would try and keep 2016 and 2017 for later (late May/early June).

When you say you have nearly "run out" of the current format STEP papers, do you mean you have been doing them as timed papers (so only looking at 6 questions) or have you looked at all 13 questions? If the former then I would advise attempting the questions on these papers that you have not yet looked at (not under timed conditions) so that you extend your experience of different types of STEP questions. And yes, this does mean looking at some Mechanics / Statistics questions!
